  1. What was your job for this project? My job for this project was to create a t-shirt that correctly displayed the characteristics of my company, Glaze It Donut Shoppe, and the clothing store, Urban Outfitters. In doing this, I had to create a design to attract all audiences and a realistic design for the company itself.

2. What was the design process you took to complete the project? Please list your steps below.

In creating my design, I laid out all of the elements that I wanted to use on my shirt, and the put them together in several different designs. When I finished that, I chose the one that best identifies with a typical donut shoppe and made it as simple yet exciting as I could, to avoid it being too busy or over-simplified.

3. What did you find most challenging about your design?

The most challenging part of my design was making sure all of the little details were in tact, on and off of the computer. In using such small letters and sprinkles, I had to be very tedious in weeding my shirt, as well as making sure everything was in the right spot when I was designing it.

4. If you can change one thing about your design what would you change?

If I could change one thing about my design I would give it a more vintage look. I think a washed out t-shirt could sell really well and it would also give my shirt some character. Also, with a vintage t-shirt, you get the authentic feel.

5.What do you think makes a good graphic t-shirt design?

A good graphic t-shirt starts with the designer. The designer has to carefully consider their audience and their actual graphic. No one wants a shirt with too much going on because it would make the shirt hard to wear. Saying this, a very plain shirt can be considered dull. Finding the medium between the two is vital in the success of the shirt.
